Nov 06 2025 03:09AM UTC (GMT +00:00)
Over the past four months, Britannia has grown deeper, more alive, and more connected than ever. From the rolling tides to the bustling markets, Ultimacraft continues to evolve into a living world worthy of its heritage. This update introduces the long-awaited Fishing Skill, a full coin-based economy, new merchants, dozens of decorative blocks, and a major step toward the living cities of Britannia’s future.
Fishing Skill & 77 New Fish
The oceans, rivers, and ponds of Britannia now teem with life. Players can train the new Fishing Skill by casting lines into the water and discovering over 70 unique fish species. Each region hides its own aquatic secrets—rare finds, exotic catches, and treasures of the deep await the skilled angler.

Copper, Silver, and Gold Coins
The foundation of Britannia’s new economy is in place. Coins can now be minted, traded, and stored, forming the basis for all merchant transactions. Future updates will expand this system with banks, taxes, and city treasuries.

Human Traders and Merchant AI
Cities and villages are beginning to come alive with commerce. Human traders now appear across the land—fishmongers, blacksmiths, carpenters, and more. Each maintains their own inventory and prices, laying the groundwork for the full supply-and-demand system linking Britannia’s cities together.

New Furniture and Decorative Blocks
Players can now furnish their homes and shops with an expanding catalog of decorative and functional blocks—armoires, chairs, tables, walls, and other crafted items designed in the classic Ultima style. These additions mark the first wave of Britannia’s interior design system, soon to be supported by house deeds and placement tools.

Monster Spawner System
Cities and dungeons now use the new Monster Spawner system for more controlled and lore-appropriate encounters. Expect creatures like Mongbats and Lizardmen to roam where they belong, with balanced spawn behavior tuned for performance and immersion.

Performance Improvements
Under the hood, major optimizations have reduced tick-lag and improved chunk handling across servers. Network synchronization, entity management, and render performance have all been tuned to better support populated towns and large-scale structures.

The Journey So Far
Since midsummer, Ultimacraft’s NeoForge mod has introduced a host of systems bridging Britannia’s living world with the external Rails API. From ore vein synchronization to forge processing, city economies, and structure placement, the past four months have built the foundation for a self-sustaining world. Patch 0.1.5 continues this trajectory, turning Britannia into a realm where every fish caught, coin minted, or chair crafted adds to a shared economy that evolves across shards.
