Get ready for our most challenging and rewarding event yet: A Tremendous Burden.

Event Overview

The great amazing race begins this weekend! We are inviting all players to participate in a server-wide race to complete the legendary “Cast into the Fire” quest.

  • Start Time: Saturday at 8:00 AM (Pacific Time). The event cannot and will not start a minute earlier!

  • End Time: It’s over when it’s over. This could take hours, or it could take days. Endurance is key.

  • Registration: No prior registration is required. Just be on the server at 8:00 AM PT!
  • The Kickoff: At the start time, server admins will teleport all online participants to the city of Britain to begin the race.

The Objective & The Trap
To win, you must be the first person to successfully complete the “Cast into the Fire” quest.

Where to start: You will need to find the quest-giver located in the hobbit-hole to the west of Britain.

CRITICAL WARNING: Look, but don't touch! This quest is an exercise in humility and justice. If a player interacts or talks directly with the QuestGiver NPC, it will create a timestamped database record and you will be instantly disqualified. You must figure out how to navigate this tremendous burden without taking the easy way out.
Note: All completions and disqualifications are automatically verified by database entries on our Rails server.

Rules & Guidelines
To ensure a fair and stable environment for everyone enjoying this Ultima Online and Minecraft experience, please review the rules:

  • Solo or Co-op: Yes, players are allowed to compete in groups! You can team up to solve the puzzle, but remember there is only one First Place and one Runner-Up prize.
  • No Mods Allowed: The use of client-side mods or any external software is strictly prohibited.
  • Server Stress Test: This competition is partly designed to stress-test the UltimaCraft server and expose any potential exploits. Push the limits of the game, but play fair!
  • Technical Difficulties: If the quest breaks or the server goes down under the weight of the players, don't panic. Our first-responders will be on-site to address critical issues. Our protocol is simple: Triage. Treat. Resume. Prepare your gear, gather your party, and we will see you in Britain this Saturday at 8:00 AM PT!
